Dream vs Reality

well today im living proof that the dream can be greater than the reality, my arse feels like a small donut sat on by a rather large British dinner lady, please bend me over and repeatedly kick me in the bum[if i actually had one] till i look like i feel something.

ok that’s no true, i can just be a winjin’ pomie till i get a shower.

the first day went pretty good considering i arrived at roys at about 9 instead of 7am, then when i got there i realised that i had about 15psi in disco Dave’s tubeless rim, that i just put on the night before because i wanted to finally finish off the Michelin’s s83 from cannonball 2 ,the tyre held fine although iwas really really wobbly when i was passed by huge 53ft trucks, then when i got to Roy and checked i was amazed that it held with such low pressure but it did.

on the first day we covered 378 miles, we actually did farther than that as my gps calculates as the crow flys, not bad considering we started 2 hrs late[not bad for Roy and i] crossed the border with a 45 minute wait. i hope im not jinxing myself here but my scoots running really well considering i only replaced some minor stuff from the first thrashing in my previous cannonball.

and mt 2 stroke is the absolute finest quality you can buy at a garage sale, it still has the sticker in masking tape on the can,4 liters 3 dollars, thanks Brian[ helooked a little dubious, but i poured some in a clear container and it looked fine, what the hell, thanks Suzuki, nice outboard oil!

i can tell that roy could take or leave the freeway, but me i love it the scenery changes faster, its like a giant syphony , shoulder check pull out[flat out] slowly creep by , for a few brief seconds looking into someones life/car signal pull in , to slowly creep ahead. with kids waving old ladies and truckers looking at us like loonies, i like it.

once we pulled off the freeway and into the gas station at about 9.30 ,i was ready to ride for another gas tank or so, but once i felt the warm air bright lights , i knew i was done, so accommodation was found and i was asleep in seconds fully clothed watching tv…aaahhhh heaven.

im really looking forward to tomorrow, should be fun im getting into it now, and i really great full to my riding partner Roy and and our sponsors chispa bellingham and vespa kelowna.

You are actually using that oil, I thought it was for emergency use only… heck if I knew that, you could have all three jugs I had.. ps they were sealed so should be fine…

Not sure what your first para means but it made me laugh regardless – Just remember Roy has the OE seat so don’t do too many trades or if you do make him earn it big time !!!

    Good Luck Rocket !!
